Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Eyebrow Mapping/Shaping.

Mapping measures facial landmarks and brow proportions, combined with your preferences. We use calipers and visual guides to design a balanced brow shape that complements your features before any trimming, waxing, or threading begins.

For sensitive skin we often recommend precise threading or careful trimming. If waxing is preferred, we perform a patch test and use gentle waxes followed by soothing aftercare to reduce irritation.

Appointments typically run 30 to 45 minutes, including consultation, mapping and the chosen shaping method. First-time clients or complex reshapes may require up to an hour to ensure precise results and thorough aftercare instruction.

Shaping temporarily removes hairs to refine thickness and arch; it does not permanently change hair follicles. Regular overplucking can affect density over time, so we recommend professional maintenance and gentle grooming to preserve natural thickness.

Avoid tweezing, waxing or threading for at least two weeks before your appointment so we can accurately map your natural shape. Come with a clean face, photos you like, and inform us of medications or skin sensitivities.

Maintenance depends on hair growth and method: threading or waxing every three to six weeks is common, with trimming every six to eight weeks. We’ll recommend a personalized schedule during your appointment and offer touch-ups to keep your shape consistent.
